Discover the monumental project of constructing India's highest cable-stayed road bridge, part of the Pune-Mumbai Missing Link Project.
Four Potain MCT 385 cranes, with jibs set to 50 m, are lifting heavy loads to build this engineering marvel
Transporting the cranes required navigating congested roads and assembling them on the valley floor before climbing to 181 m.

The bridge features pylons reaching 182 m, supporting a road deck 100 m above the valley floor.
Afcons, with Manitowoc’s assistance, ensured the cranes met all technical and commercial needs for this ambitious project
The bridge is part of a 13.3 km link to bypass hazardous areas in the Khandala Ghat, improving safety and reducing travel time.
The project includes the world's widest twin tunnels, spanning 47 m over 10 lanes, and bridging a 650 m gap in Tiger Valley.
Set to open in January 2025, the Rs. 6695.36 crore project will reduce travel distance by 6 km and travel time by 25 minutes.
With cranes erected in 2021, the project has achieved several world records and is nearing completion.
